You're an excellent photographer. While I agree with Phil that this image is characteristic of the place, the ability to see as you've seen, and record it as you have, is uncharacteristic of most people who put a camera up to their eye.
The effect of the light on the landscape is stunning, and at Zion, it becomes even more so because of colors in the cliffs that surround the valley. This image is so characteristic of the place -- the play of light and shadow and the reflected light on the cliff in the background is wonderful.
