On Saturday, Memorial Day, we moved to a campsite near the lake where we were to be picked up by the pilot. We camped there the last night. The group brought back an assortment of fishing net floats and a Saki bottle that they had found on the shore of the Bering Sea. Ned Heathershaw (L), SSgt Bill Webster and MSgt Oxford (R) showed off their findings. It was said at the time (1970) that the large glass balls were worth $100 each in Anchorage.
