Billy Riggs lived 3 doors down from us when we lived on Poinciana Court from 1976 to 1980. He is the son of Bill Riggs, owner of Miami Helicopter Service at Opa-locka Airport, and Julie Riggs, long-time elementary school teacher at Miami Lakes Elementary School. He and Billy Potter who lived next door to me were good buds in high school. I believe that is the Rigg's Sunfish that we were all using the day Hurricane David passed by to the east of South Florida creating high winds and fast sailing conditions on the lake behind our homes. Billy Riggs now lives with his wife and children in Salt Lake City, Utah.
