Notice how the junk behind the door is not blown out. Other differences between this and the single exposure are less obvious.
This HDR and its sister exposure were globally adjusted so the facade looked similar in each.

Canon EOS 40D ,Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM
f/11.3 at 19.0mm iso400
3 exposures at 2-stop intervals
