Zenit-E

A mass produced SLR from the former Soviet block,
from "KMZ" (Krasnogorsk) c1967-1981, and then
"BeLOMO" (Belarus) c1975-1986. Reportedly about
8 million copies, and several 'brand names'. This
camera has the Olympic logo; handy for dating it.

"Built like the proverbial tank", this model has an
instant return mirror, but an aperture pre-set screw
mount (M42) lens of interesting design. Shunned by
many as 'inferior' to the earlier KMZ model, this BeLOMO
model came with a heavy black leather case, and was
purchased, in working condition, at a 'flea market' for $5.

Leica D-Lux2

Colin, I have the same model, I am not very fond of this type of Tank-model and as a matter of fact a friend of mine, who had this camera abandoned in a cabinet, gave it to me as a gift, knowing my passion for classic cameras. Eventhough this type of cameras are not at the top of my preferences, from the historical and collecting point of view I am happy to have it in my collection.
.....I am continuing my visit to yr cameras gallery, GREAT!
