11-APR-2009 Cindi Smith

Fort Worth, TX

The Annual Race for the Cure was this morning. As far as you can see in front and in back of me were people walking to raise funds to find a cure for Breast Cancer. This is just one of a ton of shots I took. I walked for quite a few people today as well as for myself and will be adding a new 2009 Race for the Cure gallery soon. So, this is the ground under my feet today and I have stuff I have to get to now so will catch up soon on comments, I promise!. Everyone have a blessed rest of the weekend!

btw...the event was overwhelming once again and I cried like I always do. I walked for those that have been stricken with cancer of all kinds, just not breast cancer. My love for each person touched by the disease grows stronger each day and I made a few new friends today. It was an awesome event. Now, I've got to take a short nap and get ready for something I have to do this evening.

The solidarity, the sponsorship for further research, the support for the caring hospice services, these and many more are the things that directly affect cancer survivors and sufferers when an event like this is organised. Well done for doing your part,Cindi.
