The Strip; Las Vegas, Nevada

With most people and with most shots, it's the face that tells a thousand stories. For this homeless man, it was his hands.

These two hands that have done bone-weary work; been exposed to a lifetime of freezing cold and searing heat day-in and day-out; that have held meager portions of food to survive a few more hours.

And on this day hands to hold his sign and hands to express himself to another stranger in hopes of touching a heart.

A good capture but also a sad one. It is going to be sad to see even more like this the way things are going. The B&W really makes this one stick out nicely.

Well done.

Striking image in classical B&W.Who was thinking during the euphoric last years to see those situations again?
Mark Krauss07-Apr-2009 12:26
Heartwrenching image.

Sadly, no shortage of people making that request at this point. . . .
