The crown jewel of Arches National Park...and one I was denied, thinking it was a 3 mile one-way hike, rather than the actual 3 mile round-trip hike (I hope to remedy that in May of 2009).
The arch is a 52 feet tall and is the state symbol. The Olympic torch relay for the 2002 Winter Olympics passed through the arch! Delicate Arch is formed of Entrada Sandstone. This view is from a separate lookout, but clearly shows that the arch sits right on an unguarded cliff that plunges over 100 feet.
