We haven't seen one of these birds for a long while. When we caught a glimpse of this one it was unexpected and things got a little frantic as we grabbed for the cameras and got in position to shoot. The Ring-necked Pheasant was introduced into North America from Asia and is established over much of the continent, especially in agricultural lands.
