"1:01 " York Station, Yorkshire 1980

York, North Yorkshire, UK

Here is a quote from my mentor and friend - Phil Douglis, owner of The Douglis Visual Workshops. www.pbase.com/pnd1
It was a great honor that Phil used this image in his workshops over the years.
Here is his comment on this photo, taken at York Station, in North Yorkshire, UK in June 1980.

"This is my favorite Clendaniel image. The composition, based on rhythmic repetition, is superb.
The position of the people echos the position of the hands on the incongruously large clock, while the curving support for that clock offers a perfect counterpoint to the rhythms of the beams supporting the roof. Even the railing at right echos the flow of the beams into infinity. It as if the child is looking the life that is to come. Magnificent."
