This wonderful thing is poised for lift off in the fore court of Queen Hatshepsuts Temple on the West Bank of the Nile. The Theban Hills in the background it is very early in the morning around five oclock. The sun is still far away. The balloons sound like huge animals breathing as the gas ports are opened to fill the canopies. Aloft they drift with the faintest of sound of the wind in the rigging.
