I like your study of this tired old gentleman. His body language and expression of the hard working man that he still works the fields today at his age of 82! Its sad that he cannot relax and enjoy his retirement years...Excellent work Chris.BV!

The hard years are etched in his face...a superb capture.

I agree with Antonis.
In photographic terms, the composition with this "cross" in the middle - vertical and horizontal axis - are unique and underline the subject, but there is much more than that. It is no doubt an exceptional image.

Antonis Sarantos21-Mar-2009 07:28
I really don't know what turns a good image to a masterpiece.
Once I thought that has to do with photographic terms and that is easy to explain.
But when I see images like this, I realize that words are useless, no matter how hard I have study this kind of expression that we call photography.
So after all these years I came back to my early start 25y before and all I do is to admire, silendly, these little pieces of eternity
and "bravo" is the only word that I can find and has the mission to express all my deepest thoughts.
Please accept my humble bravo, once more.
