Inerestingly, these were shot with the camera at eye-level of the busts.
The candle is located well below and in front of the busts causing the shadows to cast upward.
It makes it look as if the camera position was much lower than the subject.

I bet it wasn't fun to have those molds made! The lighting made this a very interesting shot. I would of guess that a flickering candle light would of left a softer shadow line, but it's still a small diameter light sorce, isn't it.

It really does look like there is a 45 degree angle to the busts - the give away is the wall that remains constant throughout. Thanks for including the setup!
