I think it is easier to believe in a flat earth than an honest politician John.. I did notice that is was those savage southerners that actually did the disemboweling, but had better not labour the point as Lichfield was also the place where the last person was burnt at the stake for heresy , a Mr Edward Wightman, on 11 April 1612, so we had our own ways of sorting out the disbelievers up here too:-)
Interesting Derek. Edmund Gennings was one of the 40 Martyrs of England and Wales, like St. John Roberts from my village, although St. J.R. he was spared from being disembowled alive (they waited until he was dead)!
