This is Janet in Illinois. I go by "Thelma Lou" on the WBMUTBB? digest, of which I have been a member since approximately 2000. I have probably been watching "The Andy Griffith Show" since it started, but I was practically a baby at the time, so I don't remember! I have had the privilege of attending only one Mayberry event, the first Mayberry in the Midwest held in New Castle, Indiana. There I got to see George Lindsey, Howard Morris, and the Dillards. And I got to meet and speak to Betty Lynn, Maggie Peterson Mancuso, James Best, Allan Newsome (Floyd), David Browning (Barney), and Kenneth Junkin (Otis). My goal is to someday visit Mt. Airy, hopefully for Mayberry Days. In the meantime, I enjoy it vicariously through the accounts of others who have been there. I appreciate all the Mayberry friends I've made through the digest who share my love of TAGS.
