I want the new EOS 5Dmkii and hope to raise funds through
various means, eBay auctions included.

It's amazing how much you forget when you don't use gear
often enough.

I dug out my white box & fumbled to set it up. Haven't
done that since 8Aug08. Set up my tripod and 40D. Connected
the 40D to the laptop and started DSLR Remote Pro. The
laptop wouldn't recognize the 40D. Spent 2 hours getting that
working (including updating the 40D firmware to 1.1.1.. never
did that before). Finally found a solution to "computer won't
recognize camera" on Canon's web site. For a few hours I
was convincing myself that this was yet another reason I "needed"
the 5Dmkii..

Anyway, shot these pics using the 40D w/o DSLR Remote Pro but
with a tripod and my remote shutter release. Shot the lens with
my 60mm macro lens (won't work w the 5Dmkii) and shot the
lens/box/manuals with the 24-105 (will work w the 5Dmkii).
