Our darkroom was just down the main hallway on the same side as our library. It was one of the few hobby areas at the site, and I was really glad to have it available. Some of us spent hours in there developing our black and white film and processing prints. I learned those processes while at Cold Bay. Photography was already one of my hobbies, so it was natural for me to want to create my own prints. The darkroom was a fascinating place to spend my time while I was not outdoors exploring. Behind me are the Beseler enlarger and our timer.
