The Naga Bridge is the sandstone platform leading to the gopura, an arched gateway in the main,
southern outer wall of the temple. The body of the naga (sacred serpent) forms the rail of the
bridge. The bridge is the beginning for the journey to the sacred center of the temple. It also
represents the connection between earth and heaven in Hindism and Mahayana Buddhism.
