When my daughter was a young child she referred to industrial smoke stacks as "cloud factories". As she grew she came to the realization, as we all must, that these are really the flatulent orifice of industrial society. These stacks are at the Tufts Cove power generation station in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia which burns both Bunker C oil and natural gas. The Halifax skyline and the Angus L. MacDonald Bridge are in the background.
