15th of the first Lunar Month is Yuan Xiao Festival. After midnight, fireworks are no longer allowed in Beijing within 5th belt line. So today is the biggest fireworks day.

After reading this photo... Now I understand why where so many police around the fireworks.. Then after midnight... it's true... all quietness,,, I didn't know fireworks where not allowed after midnight... Thanks for sharing these photos ^_^ I enjoyed the fireworks, today was almost as intense as with new year.
