Foot care is one of the most important aspects of driving dogs.
The trail conditions included icy snow, which can cut the dogs' pads,
so we use protective barriers like ointment followed by fleece booties.
This was the first time I had ever bootied my team, and was so proud
of how they handled it.
They weren't too happy at first, but were very patient with all the
new experiences, and everyone finished in great shape!
