The troup spends the night in the tops of trees on fairly small branches -presumably as a precaution against Leopards. Whilst there are probably still a few Leopards in The Gambia they are very rarely seen though we did see some pugmarks in dried mud by the edge of Kiang West NP in October 2008 which were so big that they could only be Leopard.
