Djeser Djeseru site. This is a very poor Google, bashed to death in Photoshop in a vain attempt to make it usable. Unfortunately this is true of most of the tight Satellite shots around Luxor and please Google we really do need a lift up right here and now. We will suppliment this with a balloon aerial to come.
The black stripes are the modern tarmac roadway and the grey rectangle right of centre is the hideous carpark. To your left from here is the causeway where Lenka was standing to take the Djeser header and the body of the Temple.
The bay of cliffs is distinctive as are the Theban Hills. The Valley of the Kings is the black question mark top left. You can imagine the task facing Hatshepsuts Engineers as they cut thir way under the cliffs from the Valley in an attempt to locate KV20s burial chamber under Hatshepsuts Temple collonades. No laser guidance here, they managed quite well to a tollerance of a centimetre in a hundred meters, underground.
