there's a small rocky beach on the windward side headed towards the NorthShore where there are a dozen or so rock piles like this lined up along the coastline.

As a man teached me about these signs, "two stones piled up may be by chance, three or more is always the signature of a human being". I think this signature is universal, and some kind of unconcious behaviour very deeply rooted in our nature.
This pile is specially beautiful, and the turquoise of the water enhances it wonderfully. endika

Ah! We have beaches on Lake Superior where people do similar stacks. Nice to see that some people are not so pre-occupied with schedules that they can take time out to create!

I don't believe it has a purpose, so somebody was boring, opportunity for you to take the shot. Seating on the beach looking the stones, one can find many recognizable shapes of animals or their parts made of stone. When you put together those parts and glue them interesting and nice sculptures could be made.

It's the different type of rock for each one that really makes this so interesting. Each with its own texture, color and shape. Someone or something, took some care to pick and choose the perfect rock to put on top of the other.

This reminds me of an inukshuk such as may be found in the Arctic. Its textures are wonderful! Each stone appears to be a different material. I also like the ocean's muted aqua and slate-blue in the background. The emphasis is on the bold and dramatic figure in the foreground.

One push would topple this into the sand! The title is perfect.
