To be alone after a long time pardnership has to a time of great lonilness for a widow or widower.
A dear friend said she never knew the meaning of lonliness until her husband died.
Some feel liberated some like life is over. I have tried to represent this so viewers can see their own experience here.

This is a very true reality. Everything tastes so much better when it is shared with your 'best friend'; the same food, eaten alone, has no taste, no enjoyment. Very sad and lonely experience for many who have lost their best friend.
