Oh how I miss Evening Grosbeaks in my yard! They used to be quite common in Nova Scotia, but no longer. They just seem to pass through in small flocks. Thanks for the lovely memory.

Terrific capture, I now realize that they range here all year around and that perhaps I saw this bird today and not the goldfinch. I wondered why it was not with a floclk of finches, but with a small flock of rather dusky birds. V
