Papilio eurymedon

Those brilliant blue scales on the hindwings are so cool. These are great swallowtails to watch in the wild. Fun fun. This one was waiting around on a hilltop when we found it. "Hilltopping" is a mate-locating behavior common to many species of butterflies; the pale swallowtail is among them.
