by Gary Martin

This is a shot of the ticket office at Loughborough Station on the Great Central steam railway. There was car parked outside the doorway in the original shot.

This is a nice and comfy pic, and I like the silhouette persons acting their part. My pick of the four

There is something about this capture that looks so old. Real nice!

My pick of your four. Makes me think of a different time. I like the
patina of the wood.

Love this Gary, every time you look around the image you're reminded of passing through similar ticket offices in the past - they don't make 'em like this any more - what a shame....

I keep being drawn to this photo. The lines of the ticket booth not only draw your eyes to the people it draws them beyond to the bright door beyond.

Makes me want to know where they are going.. where that white light leads to.. very nice.

My favorite of your 4. I like the sense of 'what's coming next?' from the over-exposed doorway and the old world feel to this.

Just lovely..

It is good to see this iamge again. It looks really terrific now that it stops just outside the door.

I have always felt that the careful use of over-exposed areas in an image can have a very dramatic effect. This is a wonderful example of that.

I agree with Rod. It looks like some scene from B&W movies from 30's. Really great shot Gary. Vote

Many of yours have an "old world" quality, especially this one.
