Incredible easy when you know - and still incredible strong in the effect! Great job, Jerry!

Oh WOW! This is incredibly powerful, Jerry. I like everything about it and usually abstract images are not what draw me in.---deb

Wonderful, colorful image - I'm going to try that sometime! I bet it's not real easy to get all those perfect circles.

Yep, Mike... OOF Christmas tree lights.
Karen, this is embarrassingly simple to do: Sit in front of your Christmas tree, put your cam or lens on manual focus, and throw it as far out of focus as you can. Put your camera on manual control and select an aperture and shutter speed that gives you the exposure you want (see my EXIF below). Better to have the ambient light quite low. Where I had a f/1.7 lens and good IS, I was able to hand-hold.

Wow, Jerry, I love this picture! Would you mind sharing how you did it? I love the overlapping circles of color. Karen

Jerry, this is beautiful and creative...I love all the globes of color set against the dark background. Are these oof Christmas tree lights...or something else? Great how they take on characteristics resembling floating ornaments. Good idea, very nice abstract, and well done! MFC
