Part of the front entrance to Norbiton Garage, in Gordon Road. The garage was opened in the 1952 to accomodate an overflow of vehicles from nearby Kingston Garage, but closed in 1987 due to reduced vehicle requirements. The site was, very short sightedly, sold quickly for re-development, leaving London United, some years later, short of accomodation in the area when Kingston Garage was closed. The garage only had an allocation on route 155 on Sundays and public holidays from 1966 to 1973, during the time that the route was extended to replace the 131 on those days.
