I like fall very much, probably my favourite season for photography. I'm a sucker for contrast and decay in images and this season presents opportunities a plenty - textures like cracking concrete and dry twigs with moss on top, low directional light, muted colors, etc. I went especially looking for images like this when I went shooting, wanting to take pictures that speak of this season. I was pretty happy with the catch, because the final images presented pretty closely what I had in mind before hand. Another thing I was pleased about was that I managed it with a compact camera, probably wouldn't have made much difference to the images if i'd had a DSLR with me. Compact camera photography is sort of a sub category hobby in photography for me - it's satisfying to get a decent photo with a camera that fits into my jeans pocket.
