Northern Parula

Hendersonville, NC

I hope I'm right with the ID. I found this little guy apparently dead
on the sidewalk - it appeared he had flown into a shop window.
However, when I picked him up, I could see some life. He was
stunned, and half frozen. After a couple of hours riding around
in my car with me, perched on the back seat, and posing for
photographs, he was warm, chirpy and ready to go. I released him
into a tree. Bon Voyage, little bird. Mind where you go.

Sounds like you saved this colorful little fella and he returned the favor by posing so nicely for you up close.

sweet image and story. Without the background info, the focal length would hardly have been believable!...V

This is a great photo Colin; that beauty is enhanced by the touching narrative. Well done.
