LOWER FELTHAM Chertsey Road terminus, actually in Walton Gardens. At its peak there were up to six departures per hour from this point (routes 117 and 237) and now nothing, thanks to TfL's policy of removing scheduled short runs from routes. It's one little corner of London that has been forgotten. At the time of this picture, RM9 was fresh from Aldenham overhaul, complete with Leyland engine. It remained allocated to Hounslow Garage until 1975, a one-off amongst their AEC engined RM's.
