Erratic Line

Duntulm Castle, Trotternish, Skye, Scotland.

The castle itself is quite unimpressive, almost completely ruined and alleged to be haunted but the beach at the foot of its cliffside setting is quite stunning. Unbelievably vivid green seaweed drapes itself over plates of rock interspersed by lichens and erratics. I found this curious alignment of jet black rocks as big as pigs curving out to an offshore island on the extreme northern tip of Skye.

Beautiful shot - tremendous colours with exquisite lighting on the foreground rocks. Great lead-in line and lots of detail & sharpness, too...V
