Gaither Mountain Sun Pillar Sunrise

Compton, Arkansas, Buffalo National River

#64423 Sun pillar sunrise atop Gaither Mountain, just a couple of miles from my home. A sun pillar is a vertical shafts of light extending from the sun. They are created by reflections off falling ice crystals associated with high level clouds like cirro-stratus clouds.
