At first glance these looked like the ends of rural mailboxes! Full size is something else. I vaguely recall pay toilets from my youth. I can't imagine why a human bodily function should provide revenue for the cubicle owners. I'd be really p-o'd.

Good one.

Great texture, symmetric composition and graphic quality in this. endika

LOL Colin! That would be a bummer! I don't think I've ever seen a pay toilet before but I know they had them in like, NYC for a dime, a long time ago. I guess it would be worth it if they were shiny and clean! I guess the human condition here is the need to make a buck! HA! I'm surprised they don't have these on the airlines yet.

You have had to pay for a public loo in the UK for years, used to be one old penny and for men, only when they needed number 2's.

a poem by anon:
Here I sat broken hearted
Paid my penny
and only ...

Well, you can fill in the rest :-)

And they wonder why someone dumps on the doorstep. Very good find and take.

Excellent photo Fred and the added context really made me smile. What a world where you must pay to pee!
