As I´m living in Bochum, I had to do this in the end:
One of the most successful and most popular german artists over the last 25 years is from Bochum:
singer and actor Herbert Grönemeyer.
One of his first big hits was 'Bochum' way back in the eighties.
Today it´s more or less the official hymn of the city,
and of course it´s the opening song of the local football team VFL Bochum, whenever they play at home.
The video is from a live concert within the Schalke Arena in Gelsenkirchen.
Gelsenkirchen is a neighbourtown of Bochum, and the town were I was born and grew up,
and it´s the stadion of my club, Schalke 04.
So I think, everything fits, the only problem is, I was never a Herbert Grönemeyer fan (LOL).
