UGC 7321

UGC 7321, Superthin Spiral Galaxy, type Sd, in Coma Berenices. Taken on the nights of May 7 and
May 8 2007, with a DSI Pro II and Outback Cooler on a C8NGT (8" Newtonian f5). All subframes were
180 sec. The RGB subframes were also used to make synthetic L subframes (sL), which were then
used in the stack of images to create the final L image. The resulting total exposures were
(L+sL):R:G:B = (123+66):78:75:66. Color balance was achieved via numerically scaled channels.
Captured with Envisage, calibrated and sigma combined in Iris with other processing using FITZ,
PixInsight LE and Photoshop CS. North is up.

other sizes: small medium original auto
