This small vacant possession is said to be haunted. I can't vouch for the authenticity of this statement but it is certainly boarded up against intruders and I've never seen anyone near it. It never-the-less stands in a beautiful location by a sinuous stream and in the shadow of a bracken patterned hill. I photographed it with autumn sunlight streaming in to illuminate the roof of the house but also against an area of shadow from the hillside opposite to help it stand out. The hot colours of the sunlit bracken slopes contrast delightfully with the cool reflected blue sky in the stream.
