The Blast door 6 is one of the four, 6,000 lbs(2,700kg)doors designed to protect the crew from the effects of a nuclear explosion and keep out unauthorized persons. Only one door could be open one at a time. The doors could withstand overpressures of 1,000 pounds per square inch.
