Ambleside Bridge House

The Ambleside Bridge House is possibly the most photographed building in the Lake District and a popular subject for many artists including Turner.
The location, all of the camera settings, and processing for this night photograph were undertaken by Steve Highfield. However,
I did look in the viewfinder and push the cable release button, so technically this photograph is mine. :)

1s f/11.0 at 18.0mm iso200 full exif

Great night shot and a good idea to shoot at night. Always too many people around during the day to spoil this shot.

Hi Jay, This is an amazing and fascinating night shot! And it amazes me there isn't any guardrail along that drop-off. What keeps cars and/or people from plummeting into that ravine? A picture perfect shot! \/
