One of Sukhothai’s most beautiful temples, and although this photo doesn't show it, it has a moat. The temple probably dates to the very late 1200s, making it one of Sukhothai’s oldest...hence the Khmer (ancestral Cambodian) prangs. Evidence of Khmer art include a lintel showing Vishnu reclining on the Naga seat and a linga, making it obvious that this temple was a Hindu sanctuary before being converted into a Buddhist shrine.
