Thank you all for your very kind words.

There is tremendous character in her face. And what wonderful, thick hair! She is still a handsome lady even in her advanced age. Beautiful portrait.

I'm sorry for your loss. It's so hard to say goodbye to a parent. But she'll be with you wherever you go, a continuing presence in your heart.

What a lovely, dignified memory to have Miro. I hope she had a good life,

Very sorry to hear of your loss Miro. I still see my mom in so many things around me and in the things I do.

Though I love being alive I can't wait to see what happens when we die.

This is a wonderful memorial, Miro. Although pictures can never compare with our memories of loved ones, and our memories pale in comparison to the living soul, images like this can always trigger those remembrances that we cherish. Be at peace, my friend.

Miro, I was sure she was your mother before I read your caption. She looks like she was a dear soul. Losing a mother is a hard thing, she has a sparkle in her eye. May she rest in peace, I'm sure she was proud of you.

Thanks Colin, I corrected the tittle.

Very poignant shot, I’ll bet you’re glad you took this.
BTW, we normally say ascending to Heaven
