The central western limb of the moon on Nov. 10, 2008 at about three days before full. The large dark area at top right is the Ocean of Storms, and the dark area at bottom right is Mare Humorium. The dark crater at central right is Billy, a 46 km wide and flooded with lava. This is a four-layer composite taken with a Nikon D80, a 10-inch Newtonian and a 12mm Brandon eyepiece.
