Headless in Huntington -ArtP
by ArtP

Smith-Gardiner farm (where else)

Withered by frost and beheaded, three forlorn sunflowers overlook the recently plowed field on a foggy day. The now brown row of peppers no longer protects them from the inevitable, and soon all will be turned under.

I usually have trouble getting out to catch the fog, but this day was overcast and the fog never burned off... by 10 it was dispersing tho, so I caught it in time.

I like fogy shots, have to try this, but it's hard. On weekends I sleep late, during week I work and fog is a morning thing mostly. Have to be more assiduous.

Huntington Long Island, NY... right around the corner from me (so it's easy to visit!)
And I'm partial to fog myself, it makes things look so different!

Oops, I think it was in Huntsville not Huntington. Now I wonder, is Huntington in NY? I afraid I've never been to Huntington or Huntsville. I'm still loving your nice fog.

Is that Huntington Alabama? Your local t.v. station asked to use a photo of mine in a story! It wasn't a great shot but, one they needed. :o) I love the story you tell of these sunflowers on their last hurrahs before winter. Another good find. I think I like that farm you visit!
