Another truly remarkable image. The bird seems to represent the very spirit of the people who have walked in this sand, leaving their prints for you to use to fill your strikingly textured foreground. The bird is caught just in front of the setting sun itself, while the people in the background add critical context. The grassy mounts carry us through the image, as well as the boardwalk, which also echos the horizontal flow of the clouds in the sky. Nothing is wasted in this image. Everything counts as expression. A perfect title, as well.
