Yellowstone National Park: Ojo Caliente Spring

Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming

On a nice 3 mile hike in Sentinel Meadows along Fountain Flats Drive. Ojo Caliente Spring has a strong sulfur smell. The temperature of the springs is 200°F and it is 32 feet deep. On one end the spring constantly boils, sometimes rising 12-20 inches high. It has erupted as high as two to three feet and discharges approximately 100 gallons of water per minute.
