Yellow-crowned Gonolek (Laniarius barbarus)

Kairaba Hotel gardens, Kololi

The Barbary Shrike -a stunning but secretive Bush-shrike which with its mate sings duets from deep cover -the duet actually sounds like one bird rather than two.

The bird above came late each afternoon to a small ornamental fountain to drink.
