En route from McCammon to Lava Hot Springs, a scruffy little road
drops between the busy highway and an equally busy railway into an amazingly serene little copse.
A riparian oasis, it hosts nesting songbirds in the summer; an osprey feasted on a sizable fish as we watched from across the water.
