I'd lean on the side of total abstract with this one. I've looked at it (scrolling) to get the green off and its really great colors and waves. Then again, the trees give you a sense of how large this area is. Ugggg I think I like it either way but will lean toward the crop as Stefan suggested. It would look great on a wall!

I, on the other hand, would like to see the corner cropped to make a complete abstract tilted to follow the uppermost possible edge of the red. I love the sensual image that would result. Just my opinion.

Vivid and effective - the contours are beautifully sculpted by time and erosion. The red from the iron oxide transforms the original basalt into something wondrous and strange. I agree with Bruce; the green gives it a point of reference.

Good framing Paul. It would be tempting to make it entirely abstract, but that corner of green makes it believable.
